| Development and Peace relies on a network of partners around the globe to carry out its mission of fighting poverty and oppression. Approximately 200 in number, these partner groups work with us to jointly design and implement long-term development programs to help build better lives for the poorest of the poor in the countries of the Global South.
Our partnerships with these community groups are based on shared values, mutual respect and an enduring commitment to analyze local issues and develop viable, cost-effective alternatives to correct social and economic inequality.
Our approach to international development work is based on the premise that democratically-controlled community groups in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East are best placed to find practical solutions to the problems facing the poor.
